IDH2 mutations have been observed in a number of hematologic malignancies. In acute myeloid leukemia, the R140 mutants show mixed results affecting overall survival as compared to their wild-type counterparts. In myelodysplastic syndromes, however, no prognostic link was discovered between IDH2 mutation status and overall survival.
